In 2018, while working as a web design and development contractor for Atlanta-based Appeal Design, I was tasked with redesigning the website for Design One Studio, a Charlotte, NC-based interior design firm known for crafting timeless spaces with an emphasis on tailored functionality and thoughtful design. Their website needed to reflect the sophistication and precision of their work, while also enhancing usability and user engagement.

The project’s primary goal was to create a sleek, modern design that aligned with the studio’s refined aesthetic. The redesign included a revamped home page that effectively funneled visitors to key areas of the site through clear calls-to-action, encouraging exploration of their services, portfolio, vision, expertise, and team. A fresh approach was taken to showcase their team, presenting each member’s details in a more engaging and accessible format. Similarly, the navigation of their portfolio projects was overhauled, making it easier for users to browse their impressive body of work.

Incorporating Design One Studio’s own creative ideas was an important aspect of the project. For instance, their suggestion to integrate a Google Map into the contact page was executed with a unique and visually appealing design that featured the studio’s location while maintaining the site’s polished aesthetic.

The design process was completed in Figma, including a detailed prototype that is featured at the top of this page. The result was a reimagined website design that elevated Design One Studio’s digital presence to match the elegance and quality of their services.
